Exercises of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on the basis of JSC "Mogilev Meat Processing Plant"

Under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Khudoleyev, the final stage of complex exercises with the management bodies and forces of the Mogilev territorial subsystem of the State Emergency Service and Civil Defense was held to work out the main elements in the liquidation of the consequences of emergency situations characteristic of the autumn-winter period.

The exercises were attended by Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Valery Malashko, Head of the Mogilev Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Sergey Demidov, as well as heads of other institutions and organizations of the region.
The final stage was the exercises at JSC "Mogilev Meat Processing Plant".

According to the legend of the exercise, as a result of the collapse of building structures, the technological equipment of the ammonia refrigeration and compressor unit at JSC Mogilev Meat Processing Plant was depressurized, ammonia was released into the atmosphere, a threat was created to the life and health of workers and the population who live nearby, the driver servicing this installation was injured.
The task of the participants of the exercise is to arrive at the scene as soon as possible, assess the situation, provide assistance to the victims and begin to eliminate the emergency situation.

The sanitary squad of JSC "Mogilev Meat Processing Plant" provided assistance to the victim, and also delivered him to the ambulance team. The doctors transported him to a healthcare facility.
The chemical intelligence unit of JSC "Mogilev Meat Processing Plant " and employees of the UZ"Mogilev Zonal Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology " carried out measurements of the concentration of ammonia vapors in the ambient air.
Rescuers eliminated the ammonia leak.
Police officers restricted access to the area of possible infection and carried out an announcement of the population.
The emergency brigade of the Mogilev Electric Networks branch of RUE Mogilevenergo delivered a mobile power supply source, connected it. The work of the reception and temporary accommodation group was organized.

More than 100 people and 20 pieces of equipment took part in this exercise.
